Today I leave for my trip to Rome! I am very excited, yet actually quite mello. I'm confident about going on the trip with Joanna. Joanna called me from Minneapolis, where her flight to Chicago was canceled, but it sounded like she was getting on a different flight to Chicago. So hopefully everything will go well for her. She planned to arrive in Rome about 8 hours before me, so if she is late it won't be a big deal.
I have packed everything I need:
My new 22 inch Eagle Creek Rollie has clothes, toiletries, airplane pillow, extra shoes, umbrella, snacks and phone & camera chargers.
My Overland small backpack has books, empty water bottle, camera, phone, billfold and passport.
This is the first time I have gone on a 'big' trip with just carry-on luggage.
I'm excited and looking forward to this trip. I'll try to put pictures up soon after I get back.
